OVERVIEW
As a Legal Intern with Partners in Justice International, Megan Wren assists the PJI legal team in every aspect of our practice. Her responsibilities include legal and factual research and writing, analyzing relevant political and legal issues in the countries where we work, and assisting with planning and executing trainings and other capacity-building work with local partners.
Biography
Ms. Wren is a J.D. candidate and Dean’s Merit Scholar at Vanderbilt Law School. Before law school, she built a foundation in policy and advocacy in Washington, D.C., working at Squire Patton Boggs on federal legislation and regulatory developments in biotechnology, national security, and foreign affairs, and at Klein/Johnson Group and The Century Foundation, where she produced congressional hearing memoranda, conducted legislative research, and supported advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
Megan’s commitment to justice began at Georgetown University, where she served as President of Georgetown University Prison Outreach, the university’s largest social-interest organization. She led volunteer and advocacy initiatives, designed curricula for incarcerated individuals, and authored research on the foster care-to-prison pipeline and maternal incarceration. Her undergraduate thesis explored the legal and ethical dimensions of prenatal genetic testing and disability inclusion.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Policy Analysis from Georgetown University with Departmental Honors. Megan has a seal of biliteracy in Spanish and is a beginner in American Sign Language.
