As Strategic Partnerships Consultant, Nicole Ella spearheads PJI’s development and fundraising efforts by providing solicitation, stewardship, and research, supporting partner cultivation and individual giving activities.

BIOGRAPHY

Nicole Ella is a programme development, resource mobilization, and donor relations professional with twelve years’ experience in the non-profit sector. Her expertise includes building and implementing strategies and pipelines for investments and gifts from institutional donors, foundations, private sector partners and individuals.

Since 2016 Nicole has acted in senior management roles, guiding development, fundraising, and monitoring and evaluation processes, primarily for INGOs. Her experience ranges from serving in South Sudan, Iraq, South Africa and in remote First Nations communities in Australia, to supporting development processes for INGO global offices and UN Agencies in Geneva, Switzerland. She has designed and led the implementation of emergency programmes focused on conflict resolution, peacebuilding, human rights and civilian protection, including programmes that seek to prevent and respond to conflict-related sexual violence.

Nicole received her Bachelor’s in Law and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University. She was admitted into practice by the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory in February 2012 after having practiced under senior lawyers at the Australian Aid Department, where she focused on developing and quality assuring intergovernmental and multilateral agreements. In 2016, Nicole completed a Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University, Sweden, as a Rotary International Peace Fellow.
