OVERVIEW
As the Administration and Operations Coordinator for Partners in Justice International, Ms. Kooro is a consultant tasked with operational and financial support for PJI programming and fiscal management.
BIOGRAPHY
Mercy is a finance and operations professional with over 10 years of post-qualification experience gained within the various functions of large, globally reputed organizations, spanning several industries, including the government, private and the INGO sectors.
She is a part qualified Chartered Accountant from the ACCA institute, a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration (IBA) holder, Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Finance from the United States International University in Kenya
She has experience which includes extended finance focused assignments where she worked with large INGOs, to overhaul and improve the effectiveness of the finance and operations functions in protracted emergency contexts. The assignments included setting up policies, procedures, KPIs, internal and external audit checklist /controls, staff and partner training, financial analysis and reporting processes for the Finance and Operations department.
Mercy has worked in various capacities in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria implementing various emergency multi-million-euro projects for various donors including but not limited to various UN agencies, the European Union, government and state agencies from the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, and she has a keen interest in participating in impactful programs wherever she goes.
